Science A-Z offers an abundance of resources for teachers and students offered in comprehensive units across four scientific domains: Life, Earth and Space, Physical, and Process Science. This unit addresses my students’ science IEP goals as well as a variety of other goals (language arts, math, speech, and occupational therapy).
Science magazines such as New Scientist , Science & Vie , and Scientific American cater to the needs of a much wider readership and provide a non-technical summary of popular areas of research, including notable discoveries and advances in certain fields of research.
The March for Science champions and defends science and scientific integrity, but it is a small step in the process toward encouraging the application of science in policy. From field trips to teacher development, MSI provides engaging science experiences for students and educators—because they both will decide the future of science.
May 1 – In her first annual address to the Academy’s membership, NAS President Marcia McNutt stressed the ongoing vitality of America’s scientific enterprise, and called on the country to strengthen its support for science. In Europe, the Latin translation of Alhazen’s Book of Optics directly influenced Roger Bacon (13th century) in England, who argued for more experimental science as demonstrated by Alhazen.
